Water Soluble CBD
It's all about the bio availability

There are so many forms of CBD for you to choose from on the market. Traditional CBD oils, creams, salves, vapor products, bath & body, edibles,... etc.... etc... etc. Everyone has a favorite method of taking their daily CBD but the most bioavailable forms are water soluble and is quickly becoming a very popular way to integrate CBD into the lives of many.
Bioavailability is the measure of the amount of a measured dose that reaches the blood stream, and represents the amount of the dose that escapes first pass elimination because it is absorbed into the blood stream via the mucosa in your mouth, & soft tissues of the esophagus and stomach. Any medication, supplement, vitamin, etc. takes these paths to the bloodstream unless administered intravenously.
The human body is comprised of mostly water :
- Our brain is appx. 80% water
- Our blood is appx. 85% water
- Our cells are appx. 90% water
It doesn't take a degree to conclude that our body has a difficult time absorbing anything that is not water soluble. Vitamin studies have routinely shown that only about 10% of non-soluble vitamins are absorbed by the body, thus the more bioavailable the product, the less you have to take for the desired result. As an example, I have found that I need appx. 40 to 50 milligrams a day (I break that up in a morning dose and evening dose for maximum efficacy). I can take When I take an oil instead of my Hemp Dropz water soluble CBD, I need to take the equivalent of 50 to 100 milligrams or more of the oil to get the same results.
That said.... What does water soluble CBD mean to you?
- Affordability : Quality CBD is not cheap and you most certainly get what you pay for. Consuming a more bioavailable product means you can use less to get your desired result.
- Finding your therapeutic window : Everyone's cannabinoid receptors are different. One person may only need 5 milligrams a day and another might need 50 milligrams a day. Finding your "sweet spot" and remaining consistent is key when taking CBD. By using a more bioavailable product, it is much easier to figure out how many milligrams a day you need to get relief.
- Taking the least amount for maximum benefit : Taking too much of anything is not good for your body. Your body is always working to maintain homeostasis , which is the job of your Endocannabinoid System. Again when you are consuming something that is not water soluble, your body has to work much harder than necessary to process all of the compounds and sort out what your body needs vs. what needs to come out as waste.
The bottom line when beginning your CBD journey is that your body is designed to make it's own medicine. The human body is literally built to manufacture all of the compounds that we end up taking in the forms of medicine, vitamins, etc. The trouble is that between internal unbalance and external factors such as stress, environment, nutrition, etc. we don't do this as efficiently as we were designed to. Thus the need to add a multitude of things to our bodies that can be everything from addictive to toxic. Many of the medications that we as humans are prescribed are not very bioavailable and we end up having to take an actual dose that is way more than what we need to absorb & it's up to our bodies to get rid of the byproducts and toxins that are left over. That is a lot of unnecessary work and stress put upon our systems that are fighting for balance every second.
Hopefully this clears up some of the most common questions that y'all have regarding which CBD product is going to give you the best bang for your buck! :-)
